Book Clubs
Join Us!
We currently host three book clubs.
Adult LGBTQ+ Book Club
This book club reads LGBTQ+ authors and rotates between classics and contemporary literature. From James Baldwin to Leslie Feinberg or Oscar Wilde and KM Sparza, we read cross genre to explore the themes of the past and the present.
Meeting on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 pm at different bars, restaurants, and breweries.
No Pressure Book Club
This book club is for folks that don't like the pressure to read that comes with some book clubs. We choose a topic and offer an accompanying book (if applicable) and members can read the book or read an article, listen to a podcast, or watch some form of media so that they can engage in conversation about the topic without necessarily reading a book they don't want to read.
Meeting on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm.
Sci-Fi Book Club
This group is comprised of dedicated and deep readers and has been our longest standing book club. Though it's a Sci-Fi book club, members sometimes read Fantasy, Cli-Fi, Horror and Dystopian fiction.
Meeting on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm.
LGBTQ+ Lit for Young Adults
This book club is comprised of young people ages 12-17 who are interested in reading literature by authors who identify as LGBTQ+ or stories with LGBTQ+ characters. With an eye on representation, we talk about whether or not the story fairly represents characters and stories for folks within the LGBTQ+ community. And of course, whether or not we like the story.
Meeting on the last Thursday of the month at 6 pm.
